Unbeweavable Hair Extensions

“The PROTAC Revolution…”

Posted on 11th August 2011 at 7:00pm.

I have been installing hair extensions now for about 10 years, and have seen all sorts of hair types…and the main question I get asked is what type of extensions should I use for my hair.  Until now it really did depend specifically on the hair type in question, so for thick longer hair liquid gold glue or clip-ins were always the best because you can get a lot more hair in, which keeps everything balanced, whereas for thin hair, individual hair extensions are better, so Micro rings, or Shrink tubes…as they can be hidden better.

However now there is a solution for every hair type…and it really is a revolutionary product when it comes to hair extensions……its called PROTAC!

Its basically double sided sticky tape meant specifically for hair, it is completely undetectable once its installed because your own hair sandwiches over the tape and so you cant see the bonds at all, you can also get THREE TIMES the amount of hair, in just one strip.

If you have thin hair and have worn any type of wefted extensions you will probably be aware that not having enough of your own hair to cover the extensions can be a problem, but with protac, because you can get three wefts onto one strip of tape you only need to put on one large piece from ear to ear and a smaller one underneath, this means you have a lot more of your own hair left to cover them up…this coupled with the fact that your own hair sticks to the protac, means that you cannot see the extensions and you will have thicker more luxurious looking hair than you will ever have been able to achieve before.

Likewise if you have very thick hair,  to achieve a balanced look (i.e., not looking like you have a mullet) you will usually need to put in a lot of wefts  right up the head which ultimately means more maintenance….however with protac tape, you can get away with only having 3 or four rows of extensions each with 3 wefts in….the result of this is VERY thick hair without feeling like you have loads of wefts glued in all over the place.

Personally I have very thick hair, and as a fan of HUGE hair, I find that I can use 2 full packets of extensions with the protac method, and the final result never fails to get attention, its incredible stuff!

Protac tape itself has been around for a long time but it seems that people don’t know much about it or aren’t sure on the amazing benefits with it,  but believe me you wont go back once you’ve tried it…….its lightweight, easy to maintain, undetectable and you get a lot longer, thicker,  more natural looking end result for  your extensions and its CHEAP!

Everyone try it and let me know what you think of if you have any questions at all I’d be happy to help

Lots of love
